African American Music Heritage Institute features Harlem Renaissance Feb. 20
The African American Music Heritage Institute presents the Core Ensemble performing “Of Ebony Embers: Vignettes of the Harlem Renaissance,” 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20, in the Comstock Concert Hall, School of Music. The touring group combines chamber music with performance elements to celebrate the lives of Langston Hughes, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus and others of the era.
