Collaboration Coordinator Opportunity
55,000 Degrees (55K) is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented and self-directed relationship manager and facilitator with a passion for education and community engagement. The Collaboration Coordinator will work with internal and external stakeholders, groups and teams that represent a cross section of our community. The position’s primary purpose is to mobilize action across education, business, government and civic sectors to achieve 55K’s five objectives:
Create and support a college-going culture Use the business community’s unique points of leverage to accelerate attainment Prepare students for success in college, career and life Make post-secondary education accessible and affordable Increase educational persistence, performance and progress
A multi-sector public-private partnership, 55,000 Degrees was formed in October, 2010, with the goal of increasing postsecondary degree attainment in the Louisville region to 50% of the working age population by 2020. The Board of Directors consists of the Mayor, as chairman, and the signatories of the Greater Louisville Education Commitment.
Position Qualifications
55K is seeking a relationship manager/ facilitator with a proven track record of partnering effectively with diverse groups from different sectors to achieve results. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing objectives, and demonstrate an appropriate sense of urgency for action. Qualified candidates will have solid communication skills, the ability to interpret and communicate data, and be open minded to and curious about new or alternative ideas, approaches and solutions. Other skills, experience and education possessed by qualified candidates should include:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in relationship building, and in leading projects or other initiatives across functional, discipline and/or industry groups using data-driven, reliable methods to progress toward and achieve results
Experience with education, community engagement and/or policy issues. Experience planning, facilitating and leading diverse groups to results. Computer skills should include MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Demonstrated success in leveraging social
media to achieve results, preferred. Master’s degree or higher preferred. Applicants with Bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience will be considered.
