Five Tips When Presenting Your Business Card

As a business owner or if you are job hunting your business card is your resume marketing your services or skills. When you approach someone, be ready, be positive, be personable, and direct.  To increase your opportunity for success make sure you remember to do these five things with your business card.

1) Business cards on hand at all times.

2) Business card that is clean with the correct information.

3) Business card presented face up with the writing facing the receiver.

4) Business card exchange before or after a meal, not when dining.

5) Business card from another person in view until you are finished speaking with the person.

Who should be introduced to whom?

The rules of business introductions are as follows:

●    Introduce a younger person to an older person

●    Introduce a person of lower rank or status to a person of higher rank or status

●    Introduce a man to a woman

●    Introduce a fellow executive to a client or customer

It’s a matter of manners.

Skill is fine and genius is splendid, but the right contacts are more valuable than either.
