Think About It…Try God’s Way
“People who carry a Bible that’s falling apart have a life that’s not.”
–John Hagee- Founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas
The more I learn about the scientific structure of our bodies, our world, our universe, the more I see how perfectly science ties in with biblical teachings. For example, Philippians 4:8 says, “Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Did you know that our thoughts are not just intangible things floating around in our heads but they are real things with substance? They are electrochemically charged neurons with branches called dendrites. When we have negative thoughts such as hate, jealousy, unforgiveness, rage, worry and anxiety, we produce toxic responses in our body that make us sick. “Researchers say that 87% of the illnesses that plague us today are a direct result of our thought life…what we think about affects us physically and emotionally.” -Dr. Caroline Leaf, “Who Switched Off My Brain” So we see that Philippians 4:8 is not just something we should do, but it’s literally something we need to do in order to live a healthy, fruitful and joyous life. And the Bible is full of similar scientifically sound life-saving instructions.
So how well do you know the Word of God? How well is your life working for you? If not so well, maybe it’s because you need to try living it God’s way. But in order to do so you will have to learn His ways. The Bible is an instruction manual, given to us by the One who created us. “ Every Scripture passage is inspired by God.” (2 Timothy 3:16-God’s Word) It helps us navigate our way through this temporary life on earth. The creator of a product always knows the best way to operate it.
In the coming new year, why not make a commitment to read God’s Word, completely, and see if it doesn’t change your life for the better.

Or get one of your own. But please, try God’s way. You’ve probably tried everything else.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless.
Psalm 18:30 (NIV)
May God reveal Himself to you in a deeper way in 2012!!
Just as Jesus encouraged us to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11), we should feed on God’s word every day.
“The remarkable structure of the Bible should also be stressed. Although it is a collection of 66 books, written by 40 or more different men over a period of 2,000 years, it is clearly one Book, with perfect unity and consistency throughout.
The individual writers, at the time of writing, had no idea that their message was eventually to be incorporated into such a Book, but each nevertheless fits perfectly into place and serves its own unique purpose as a component of the whole. Anyone who diligently studies the Bible will continually find remarkable structural and mathematical patterns woven throughout its fabric, with an intricacy and symmetry incapable of explanation by chance or collusion.
The one consistent theme of the Bible, developing in grandeur from Genesis to Revelation, is God’s great work in the creation and redemption of all things, through His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
